Tent House Rates: How Tent Rental Cost Is Decided by Guest Count, Type of Structure, Decoration, Lighting, Days and Distance, and the Right Ways to Save

The first question anyone asks a tent house is "How much will the tent cost?" The honest answer is that there's no single rate, because no two weddings need the same items. One home needs a shamiyana for 150 guests; another needs a large pandal for 800, a floral stage and lights all night. So here's what tent rental cost is actually made of, so you can ask the right questions and get good work within your budget. Bharat Tent & Light House, Khorra works out every quote from these same factors.
1. The guest count
This is the biggest foundation of the cost. More guests mean a bigger structure, more chairs, more food counters and more lights. So:
- Give a close count, not a guess: how many sit at once, and how many come in total through the day
- If there's a baraat, give its count separately
- Overstating the count wastes money; understating it leaves you short of space on the day
2. Which structure: shamiyana, pandal or German hanger
Each structure costs differently:
- A shamiyana is the most economical, for small functions, pujas and daytime events
- A pandal with kanat for a large, enclosed, decorated setup
- A German hanger for very large crowds or open grounds
If you want a waterproof roof, the cost stays about the same for small tents and is a little higher for big pandals. In rain or dew season, that small difference can save the function.
3. How much decoration
Decoration is where the cost moves the most:
- A plain pandal, or full drapes on the ceiling and walls
- A plain stage backdrop, or a floral or themed stage
- Fresh flowers, or artificial ones
- A single gate, or a gate plus a covered walkway and a selfie point
You don't need everything. Put the decoration where most photos are taken, the stage and the gate; the rest looks fine kept simple.
4. Lights, sound and generator
- How many jhalar strings, floodlights, chandeliers and focus lights
- Lighting just the pandal, or the house and the lane too
- Whether you need a DJ, speakers and mics
- Whether you need a generator, and for how long; generators are also rented on their own
5. How many days and how many functions
A son's wedding spreads the bhaat, haldi, nikasi and bahu-bhoj over several days; a daughter's wedding is mostly one night. Which items stay for how many days, and what changes between functions, is part of the calculation. Booking several functions together makes the work easier on both sides.
6. Distance and transport
Bringing, setting up and taking back the items is free with us within 25 km of Khorra, so villages in Matanhail, Charkhi Dadri, Kanina, Kosli, Badhra and around carry no separate transport charge. For places further out, talk to us before booking.
7. Halwai and food
The halwai's cost is worked out separately from the tent: how many people, what's on the menu, one meal or two, and who supplies the rations. If you need the halwai's utensils, buffet counters and crockery, those are added to the tent quote.
Settle these before booking
- A list of items with quantities: how many chairs, how big a pandal, which lights
- When the items will be set up and when they'll be picked up after the function
- How much advance, and what happens if you cancel; with us the advance is refunded in full the same day, no questions asked
- Tell us your budget first, so the quote is built inside it
The right ways to save
- Book early: items get booked fast in the wedding season, and a late booking may not get the items you want
- Take tent, lights, decoration and halwai items from one place: hiring from several people adds both running around and cost
- Come and see the godown: seeing the items and designs in Khorra helps you choose only what you really need
- Start from the budget: tell us what you want to spend, and we'll tell you what fits in it
We don't size up your pocket; we work from your budget. For the amount you tell us, we'll do the full job to your satisfaction, and send you the complete list and calculation in writing on WhatsApp beforehand. 99918 64283.
