Bahu (Bahu-Jholri) sits on the MDR-130 road and is a market centre for nearby villages. From Khorra we reach it along MDR-130.
Bahu-Jholri: centuries of history
Bahu-Jholri takes its name from two villages: Bahu (Jhajjar) and Jholri (Rewari). Local history says it was settled in the late 15th century and lay on an old caravan trade route; old chhatris, wells and a dharamshala from around 1900 still stand at Dehki pond. Its district changed from Rohtak to Gurgaon and Rewari before Jhajjar, and it had boys' and girls' schools up to Class 10 long ago.
Bahu village: the 2011 census counted 1,341 households and 6,995 people, with 75.8% literacy. It is still a market centre for nearby villages.
